Of more than 180 applications, we were one of 43 projects awarded grant funds by EGLE (Michigan’s Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy) for our application entitled “Healthy Spaces Support Healthy Minds.” Working with our friends at the Sustainability Institute of Detroit, we will have $273,391 to begin our initiative to achieve an energy net-zero campus and to improve health conditions in our school and surrounding community.
